The first of four shows chronicling the 2002 Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival will air nationally on Global TV (Channel 11 on Whistler Cable) this Saturday at 1 p.m.

The first of four shows chronicling the 2002 Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival will air nationally on Global TV (Channel 11 on Whistler Cable) this Saturday at 1 p.m.

Each show is half an hour in length, and focuses on different areas, including snowboarding, skiing, music and multimedia. The other three shows will air on Dec. 14, Dec. 21 and Dec. 28 at the same time.

The first show will showcase the Ripzone Snowboard Invitational with the Superpipe and Big Air events. The second show is on the Garnier Fructis World Skiing Invitational featuring the Superpipe and Orage Big Air. The remaining two shows will focus on the Jim Beam Outdoor Concert Series and the festival photography and film events.

The shows were edited and produced in Whistler in conjunction with festival creator W1 and Longrun Productions.

After a run on Global, the shows will air on the Xtreme Sports Network on Dec. 28, Jan. 4, Jan. 11 and Jan. 18 at 7 a.m., 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. EST. They will also be syndicated internationally through European-based EXTV.
