Wanted: volunteers looking for a good time

The Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival is recruiting volunteers to help out between April 11 and 20.

The Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival is recruiting volunteers to help out between April 11 and 20. The festival is looking for energetic volunteers who love to meet tons of new people, rub shoulders with rock stars, gain valuable event experience, receive the best vantage spots on the hill during competition and have a blast for 10 solid days.

Volunteers will have the flexibility of working varying shifts at different locations. Pick and choose what days and times best suit you. A Volunteer Recruitment Night is taking place Monday, March 24 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at GLC, at the base of Whistler Mountain.

Volunteers are provided with a meal during their shifts and a SWAG package that is dependent on the amount of volunteer shifts completed.

The culmination of the festival and thank-you to all the festival volunteers takes place at the infamous Volunteers Wrap Party. Lots of prize give-aways and many thanks are the mantra of the wrap-up party where volunteers and festival staff let loose to celebrate the end of the event.

Those interested in volunteering should plan to attend the Recruitment Night or if you can’t attend, apply online at www.livelarge.ca or call the Festival’s Volunteer Hotline on 604-935-5525.
