The B.C. Cup season wrapped up last weekend with the Hemlock Challenge at Hemlock Valley Resort.

In cross-country, Brandon Semenuk finished fourth in the Under 15 category, less than three minutes back of the leader.

James Crowe dominated in the Under 17 Expert Men’s race, finishing almost three minutes ahead of the next competitor. Once again Crowe took the overall provincial title in his age category.

Brook Baker, who is representing Canada in the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships next week in both cross-country and downhill, finished third in the Junior/Under 17 Expert Women’s category.

Marcy Bennett finished third among the Senior Expert Women. Jodie Hopkins was sixth in the same category.

In the Elite Men’s race, Will Routley finished third overall, less than two minutes back of the leader. Trevor Hopkins was 15 th .

Angela Teng was fourth overall among Elite Women.

Tyler Dumont was sixth in the Master 30 to 39 Expert Men’s race.

Eric Crowe, James’ father, finished second in the Master 40 and Over Expert Men’s race by just 43 seconds, and took the overall provincial title.

In the downhill, Brook Baker took the Junior Expert Women’s race to win the gold medal and the overall provincial title.

Greg MacDonald was second among Master Expert Men.
