Hes barefoot earthchild Xavier Rudd and his organic blend of didgeridoo, slide guitar, and natural percussion instruments will once again enrapture faithful audiences from the stage of the Boot Pub this weekend.
He may hail from Down Under and play the instrument of its first peoples, but Rudds appeal seems to know no boundaries and his star is rising. His tour of the U.S. this summer included dates alongside esteemed gritty folk chanteuse Ani DiFranco and included an appearance at the massive Philadelphia Folk Music Festival. The globetrotter then made it back to Oz before embarking on another tour of Canada earlier this month.
Ruddy comes by this way for a pair of shows at, where else, the Boot Pub tonight and Saturday. Tickets are $15, available at the door or in advance through Ticketmaster. For more information call 604-932-3338 or log onto www.upstreamentertainment.com.
