Snow at Turkey Sale

As good as the deals and selection of gear can be, kids still hate to shop. This year there will be a wide selection of activities for kids of all ages at the Whistler Mountain Ski Club ski swap and the Turkey Sale.

As good as the deals and selection of gear can be, kids still hate to shop.

This year there will be a wide selection of activities for kids of all ages at the Whistler Mountain Ski Club ski swap and the Turkey Sale.

On Saturday, the base of Blackcomb Mountain will have a Kids’ Rootbeer garden with entertainment by juggler Mike Battie. There will be face painting, a visit from Rainbow the Clown, and a musical performance by the Austria Vancouver Club Melody Choir, which is in Whistler as part of Oktoberfest celebrations.

For older kids, there will be a graffiti art demonstration by a local artist. The completed product will be featured in the Blackcomb Terrain Park this winter.

To top it all off, Whistler-Blackcomb is trucking in snow from the skating rink and pockets of the alpine to create an intermediate and up snow skate area at the base of Blackcomb.
