What: Lumpys Epic
Where: Pemberton, One Mile Lake
When: Sunday, Oct. 19, 10 a.m.
For the past four years the Lumpys Epic Fall Classic Trail Run has been putting athletes to the test.
Although its just 12 kilometres long, the race takes place almost entirely on technical singletrack, with a long climb and some bumpy terrain. The strongest runners finish in under an hour, but people can take two hours or more to run the course.
The reward is the view, which includes a panorama of Pemberton Valley, and views of Green River and Mt. Currie.
Registration for this years run starts at 9 a.m. at One Mile Lake, and the race starts at 10 a.m. sharp.
The cost is $15, with all proceeds going towards the Pemberton Community Ice Rink project.

Lumpys Epic trail is named for Geoff "Lumpy" Leidal, a popular mountain biker in Whistler and Pemberton who died in an avalanche in 1998.
