Fright Night in the village

It seems the collective opinion around these parts is that Halloween is the locals’ New Year’s.

It seems the collective opinion around these parts is that Halloween is the locals’ New Year’s. While the latter falls during the height of the winter tourist season, resulting in the majority of service industry personnel (translation: everyone) having to work, the former falls during shoulder season when the local crowd’s got nothing but time on their hands. Most take the opportunity to put together an outrageous costume and hit one of the many great parties that will be going off on Oct. 31.

Along with big name musical acts Robert Walter’s 20 th Congress at the Boot Pub and Swollen Members at Garfinkel’s, check out any one of the following for a rocker of a Halloween you’ll still be talking about in October 2004.
