The Whistler Secondary Storm senior boys soccer team are back in action today, in day two of the B.C. Senior Boys A Championships. The three-day competition features the top-ranked A division schools 500 students or less from around the province.
The games got underway on Thursday and will continue all day Friday. The playoffs take place Saturday.
Whistler Secondary is in Pool C. On Thursday they played two games, taking on Nakusp from the Kootenay region, and A.L. Fortune from the Okanagan.
Their first match on Friday, a seeding game for the playoffs, takes place at 11:30 a.m. against St. Patrick from the Lower Mainland. They will play a second game at either 1:30 or 3:30 p.m., depending on whether they win or lose against St. Patrick.
The playoffs begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, and the semi-finals are at 10:30 a.m. The championship game gets underway at 11:30 a.m. at Myrtle Philip.
The Whistler Storm has won three out of four games this season leading up to the tournament, shutting out teams from Pemberton, Mt. Currie and Lillooet.
