Whistlers Sylvia Kerfoot got off to a strong start this week at the annual Freestyle Frenzy, held at Park City in Utah. This event is classified as a FIS competition, but its also the qualifier for the U.S. national team.
Kerfoot won the first of two moguls competitions held during the frenzy, edging out some of the top U.S. prospects.
The event will wrap up on Friday, with Kerfoot hopeful of going three for three in moguls and dual moguls.
Kerfoot is working her way back on to the national team after battling injuries the last few seasons. She trained on snow and in the gym all summer, and is coming into this season healthy.
