World renowned realist nature artist and Canadian dignitary Robert Bateman will be appearing at the Brackendale Art Gallery on Saturday, Jan. 10 in conjunction with the 18 th annual Brackendale Winter Eagle Festivals Natural World Lecture Series.
The esteemed naturalist and conservationist will offer his views on "the eagles integral role in our ecosystems fine balance."
Tickets for Batemans presentation, scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., are $15 with proceeds going to the Brackendale Eagle Tower Monument.
Tomorrow (Jan. 3) at 8 p.m. the series features Photographic Impressions of Western Canada, a slide presentation and commentary by award-winning photojournalist Keith Thirkell. Admission is by donation.
A collection of travel photography by Batemans wife Birgit Freybe Bateman, titled Through These Eyes, and a slide presentation by David Jennings are on display at the gallery throughout the festival, along with eagle-themed works by a variety of West Coast artists.
