The deadline is approaching for entries to the sixth annual Pro Photographer Search, set to go ahead at this year’s Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival in April. Hopeful participants have until 5 p.m. Feb. 20 to submit their work.
Along with the major respect that comes from a town that runs on Kodak courage, the winner of the search receives a wildcard spot to the Pro Photographer Showdown, occurring later in the festival.
This year, the six Search finalists will go head to head with nine-minute presentations at a massive one-evening event at the Telus Conference Centre, a departure from previous years where finalists presented on alternate nights in a smaller venue.
Interested applicants are required to submit a CD-ROM duplicate featuring 20 action-sport and lifestyle images, either previously published or not. Images must be scanned to contest specifications and must not be formatted as a slide show. The six finalists will be notified by March 3.
