Helijet International is celebrating a successful season for their Vancouver to Whistler service.
This season the company has seen revenues from its 30-minute Whistler route more than double, with sales up by more than 133 per cent compared to last year.
"More and more skiers are leaving Highway 99 to the drivers," said Rick Hill, vice-president of marketing and commercial alliances for Helijet. "Depending on conditions it can take hours to drive but our service is always fast and reliable. Passengers never miss their cars, and there’s no better way to see British Columbia’s most beautiful scenery."
Tickets start at $160 including a complimentary ground shuttle from the helicopter pad to Whistler accommodation. There’s room on the helicopter for luggage and skis, and extra luggage can be transported by road to your accommodation on the same day.
Because of their alliance with Alaska Airlines, Helijet flyers can also receive air miles for their trips.
Helijet is a Canadian-owned company, and North America’s largest scheduled helicopter airline. They offer service to Seattle, Vancouver, Victoria and Campbell River.
