McDonald’s hosts inaugural pro rail session for skiers and boarders

Last week the organizers released the athlete list for the inaugural McDonald’s Rail Session, a new event on the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival calendar for 2004.

The contest takes place tonight (Friday, April 23) under the lights in Skier’s Plaza at 9 p.m. The event will get underway with a jam, followed by elimination rounds to narrow the field down to two athletes. The total prize purse for the event is cool $10,000.

Ten skiers and 10 snowboarders are taking part in the event, which will be broadcast on national television. The organizers are hoping to attract the largest crowd ever to a rail session.

The 10 snowboarders on the list are:
