Help ten Whistler students go to Karuizawa, WhistlerÕs Sister City, this summer. A bottle drive fundraiser will take place at the bottle depot on Sun. May 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Large donations can be picked up by calling Sue at 604-902-2310 in advance.

The 3 rd annual Whistler Valley Putting Tournament is taking place on Sun. May 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event supports local charities. Space is limited so pre-register at 604-938-1145.

CRUD TO MUD>>

The 3rd annual Crud to Mud race will take place on Mon. May 24. The race starts on the snow at the top of Whistler Mountain and then changes gears as racers switch to mountain bikes for the lower part of the descent. Call 604-932-3434 to register.

Black Bear Researcher Michael Allen, who has studied Whistler black bears for the past ten years, is giving a multi-media presentation about a bearÕs life in Whistler throughout a yearly cycle.
