According to club manager Michael Hofbauer the reunited hip-hop artists – MCs Lord Jamar, Grand Puba and Sadat X – were travelling ahead of their manager who had the appropriate documentation to get them into Canada for the show.
Rather than wait at the border after being refused entry the crew did a 180 and proceeded to California, leaving the Whistler venue and show organizers high and dry.
