Created for beginners, tickets are $2 or $4 at WERC or Sammys Snacks.
Skates will be provided, but bring your helmets, gloves and any padding you can find. After an instruction period covering the basics, there will be a game.
The event starts at 10:30 p.m. and finishes at 1 a.m.
You can also purchase tickets for Hockey 202, which will take place on Thursday, April 21.
Pemberton Loonie
The Pemberton Valley Trails Association, Pemberton Bike Co. and WORCA are teaming up to host an Ice Breaker Loonie Race event on Saturday, April 16. You need to be a WORCA member to take part, and registration will be available at the race.
The meeting time is noon at the gravel pit, behind the townhouses on Pemberton Farm Road East, and the after-party will be held on the patio of the Pemberton Steak House. For more information contact the Pemberton Bike Co. at 604-894-6625.
The Pemberton Valley Trails Association is also holding its annual Trail Daze cleanup day this Saturday, starting with a pancake breakfast at 9 a.m. Meet at the Pemberton Bike Co., bring whatever tools you can spare, and dress ready to spend a day repairing and building trails.
MSP shows best of compilation
During the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival, Montanas Matchstick Productions will premiere a collection of the best footage from their previous ski movies titled The Best So Far. The screening will take place at the Longhorn Saloon on the evening of Thursday, April 14.
MSPs list of titles includes Yearbook, Focused, Ski Movie I-III, Immersion, Theres Something About McConkey, Global Storming and more.

Two weeks ago the Pique ran a story about the Whistler Taekwondo club. Master Dawn Lefebvre of the Whistler club was not the first woman in Canada to earn her 6 th Dan Black Belt, but the second. The testing was also conducted by Grandmaster Chong Lee.
