Bob Parsons Memorial Skiers Golf Tournament May 15

Skiers and ski supporters will swap poles for clubs on Sunday, May 15 as the Parsons Organizing Committee hosts the 25 th Annual Bob Parsons Memorial Skiers Golf Tournament.

The tournament, which will be held at Big Sky Golf and Country Club for a fifth year, was created to fund the annual Bob Parsons Memorial races, a downhill and super G racing series for K2 racers to give them their first taste of speed events. Participants in this race, including Whistler’s Jeff Hume and North Vancouver’s Manuel Osbornie-Paradis, have gone on to represent Canada at World Cup downhill and super G races.

Money from the tournament also goes to a racing scholarship program for outstanding junior ski racers.

The cost of the tournament is $115 per person, which includes free range balls for tournament entrants, a game of Texas Scramble and a dinner at the Big Sky Clubhouse.

Organizers are also offering businesses the opportunity to sponsor holes for as little as $100 each, with printed signs indicating the name of the sponsor or sponsors.

Last minute registration is available, but early registration is recommended. If you don’t have a foursome, organizers may be able to pair you up with other golfers.
