The municipality and its striking unionized employees are going back to the bargaining table this month.

Both sides have agreed to a two-day meeting with mediator Debbie Cameron of the B.C. Labour Relations Board.

The meetings are scheduled for Dec. 12 and 13 in Whistler.

Whistler’s 25 Canadian Union of Public Employees members, who are made up of wastewater treatment workers, utilities workers and bylaw officers, have been without a contract for more than two years.

They have been on limited job action since February.

Pete Davidson, president of CUPE Local 2010 reiterated this week: "We’re looking for a fair contract."
