The Whistler Chamber of Commerce, along with several other partners, will offer a two-hour seminar next Thursday focused on presenting a positive and proactive approach to promoting the resort to the world.

The seminar, organized with Virtual Whistler and Green Monkey Consulting, is in response to the Chamber’s recent Spirit Luncheon where Ed Pitoniak challenged Whistler to decide clearly to be the leading resort.

Those who attend will learn how positive messaging makes a difference to the feel of Whistler, positive responses to common concerns we encounter on a daily basis, the importance of consistent and common messaging by everyone in the sales function, and updates on what’s new and exciting in Whistler that we can differentiate ourselves with.

Speakers will include Paul Tormey, G.M at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Barratt Fisher, president Tourism Whistler, Ralph Forsyth, president, Green Monkey Consulting, Doug Forseth, senior vice-president Whistler-Blackcomb, Maureen Douglas of VANOC, and Dave Krasney, owner of Slope Slide Supply. It will be facilitated by Chamber president Bernie Lalor-Morton.

Sales managers, associates, reservation agents, retail sales teams, owners and managers should attend.

The seminar will cost $25. Location is to be determined. Reservations can be made online at www.whistlerchamber.com . For more information call Lalor-Morton at 604-932-5922 ext.19.
