Council meeting changed due to Paralympics

What: LUNA - JAPANESE MOVIE As part of LUNA’s Japanese movie series, the anime film ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ is showing at the next event. It tells the story of a young hat maker who finds her way to the moving castle where the wizard Howl lives.

When: Thursday March 9, doors open 7 p.m.

What: FOUR YEARS TO GO Join Vancouver 2010 reps and special guests to mark the four years to go to the start of the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games. There will be cake.

When: Sunday March 12, 3 p.m.

Where: 2010 Info Centre in the village

What: LUNA - DRUM CIRCLE Join Erin and Solah for all levels of hand drumming. You can use your own drums, or bring your own. Snacks and chai will be on hand. Entry is $2 for non-members. Free for LUNA cardholders.

What: REAL CANADIAN - THE PAPERBOYS JUNO award winners The Paperboys bring Celtic/bluegrass mixed in with folk, Latin and rock to Whistler. Tickets are $22/$18.

What: MURDERBALL Nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 78th Academy Awards, Murderball gives an inside look at the world of wheelchair rugby as the U.S. and Canadian team prepare for the Athens Paralympics Games. Entrance by donation to the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program.
