More than 50 young voices from ages six to 18 will join together for a spring concert, Song!, Sunday, April 23 at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of the Mountains Church.
The Whistler Children's Chorus three choir sections will present musical highlights from the group’s 2005-06 performance season.
Performances will include solo choir acts as well as massed choir numbers.
Artistic take on global warming
Artist Stan Matwychuk is swinging a paintbrush in an effort to combat global warming at the Hilltrip Earth Day celebration Move On Up! Saturday, April 22 at Maxx Fish.
Matwychuk will paint live outside of the club during the day and then will auction off the completed work in the evening to raise funds for the Hilltrip carbon-offset program.
Evening entertainment includes a fashion show as well as party tracks from international scratch wizard Mat the Alien.

Whistler Singers singing in spring
Tickets are now on sale for the Whistler Singers’ Swing into Spring Concert Sunday, April 30 at St. David’s Church in Pemberton and Sunday, May 7 at Our Lady of the Mountains Church in Whistler.
Expect a little bit of jazz and ethnic soul from the good times shows starting at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and $25 for families.

Celtic concert in Squamish
The North Shore and Coquitlam Celtic Ensemble fiddles out a stomping good time Saturday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Brackendale Art Gallery (BAG).
The youth group, which tours nationally, was co-founded by musical directors Claude Giguere of the Babyaga String Quartet and five-time-Juno-Award winner Jay Knutson of Spirit of the West.
Advance tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children and available at Mostly Books in Squamish.
