What: ORIENTEERING Interested in maps, navigation and running or walking in the woods? The Greater Vancouver Orienteering Club is organizing two events in Whistler, the first at 9 a.m. at Myrtle Philip School, the second at 2 p.m. at Lost Lake Park. What: Legacies now Tour The Connecting Communities Tour brings a 2,000 square foot informative and interactive exhibit to Whistler. It is designed to capture the imagination of BC youth and inspire all to learn more about the legacies leading up to and beyond 2010. The launch will take place at 11 a.m. on Sept. 14.

What: WRITER’S RETREAT AND FESTIVAL The Whistler Writer’s Group is hosting the 5th annual retreat and festival with readings by published authors, seminars on screen writing, writing for children and more.
