A Lions Bay couple was pepper-sprayed in their home on Halloween morning after two suspects broke into their Lions Bay Avenue home.
The couple — a male, 62, and woman, 59 — were
robbed of personal items and a quantity of drugs by two suspects who broke into
their home in early morning hours, confronted the couple in their bedroom and
sprayed them.
Squamish RCMP said this was a targeted act and a small
marijuana grow operation was dismantled after officers responded to a break and
enter call about 8:10 Tuesday morning.
The investigation is continuing.
Meanwhile, police in the Pemberton area are warning residents to keep an eye out for a white Ford Explorer and two Caucasian occupants, who have been acting suspiciously.
Pemberton RCMP received a complaint about the vehicle from some alert Owl Ridge and Ivy Lake area residents after they noticed the Explorer was driving in and out of driveways in the area.
One resident asked what the occupants of the SUV were doing and was told they were BC Hydro employees. But BC Hydro said it had no employees in the area.
Both suspects are males and described as being in their early 20s. One is nearly bald and is tall and thin while the other has dark hair and was wearing a BC Hydro shirt.
