After a few weeks off to rest following the Peak to Valley race, skiers got a chance to charge gates once again on Thursday, Feb. 15 as the Kokanee Valley Race Series resumed with a slalom on the Upper Dave Murray.

New to the race was a new Men 80-Plus category for regular racer Gar Robinson, a long time patron of the Kokanee series and other alpine events held in Whistler.

The next race on the calendar is a giant slalom today, Feb. 22 on Blackcomb, followed by a super G on Whistler March 1. The series finale is on Blackcomb on March 15.

Pre-registration is available at all Whistler-Blackcomb Guest Relations locations for $20, and day of race registration is $25 at the Rendezvous on Blackcomb and the trailer on the top of the Garbanzo Express on Whistler.
