World-renowned artist Jack Reid joins the instructor lineup for the first weekend of the Whistler Art Workshops on the Lake, which take place June through August.
The workshops are set at The North House, a rustic heritage home located on the Alta Lake waterfront in Whistler. Not accessible by car, participants stroll into a serene setting to attend workshops spanning everything from beginner to advanced instruction in acrylics, oils and watercolour painting as well as drawing.
Reid will lead beginners and advanced watercolourists in the workshop How to Paint Snow, Water and Skies with a Limited Palette from Friday to Sunday, June 1 to 3.
Reid will draw from his three decades of teaching more than 25,000
students. His work graces the halls of Windsor Castle as well as the Queen’s
personal art collection. He is also displayed locally at the Fairmont Chateau
Whistler. The award-winning artist is currently working on his third
instructional book,
Watercolour Basics: Let’s Get Started and Painting Snow
and Water.
