The summer reading season officially begins Saturday with the
annual Giant Used Book Sale in front of IGA.
As usual, there will be a huge selection of books to choose
from, but this year the assortment has been augmented by the Whistler Public
Library.
The library has culled its collection of books and CDs and
added hundreds of titles to the sale.
Included are many travel books to both exotic and local places,
language books, reference and information books of all kinds, including
cooking, health, sports and hobbies.
In addition, the readers of Whistler have donated hundreds of
books of all kinds. There will be a large number of near new kids’ books,
new-condition paperback best sellers and fiction for every taste.
All books are sold by donation, with the proceeds going towards
the Friends of the Whistler Public Library.
The sale goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 19 in Marketplace.
