On Sunday, July 8, Whistler-Blackcomb is once again hosting its Local’s Day, offering Sea to Sky residents — with I.D. — a chance to enjoy all the mountains have to offer for free, or with substantial discounts.
The Whistler Mountain Bike Park, Whistler Village Gondola and Peak Chair are free to residents of Whistler, Pemberton, Squamish and Mount Currie, as is the Little Mountain Golf Centre in the Blackcomb Adventure Zone at the base of the mountain. There will also be free face painting by Whistler Kids at the base of Whistler Mountain from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There are also several options available for 50 per cent off:
• Glacier skiing and snowboarding on Blackcomb Mountain, uploading at 11 a.m.
• Glacier walks by Coast Mountain Guides, located in Le Chamois building.
• Bike Park rentals at Garbanzo Bike and Bean.
• Most Blackcomb Adventure Zone attractions, with the exception of mini golf — the Westcoaster Luge, the Amazen’ Maze, the Spin Cycle, the trapeze, the Great Wall Climbing Centre, and Kids Jump Mania. Ten-time cards will be just $25.
Other discounts include 25 per cent off horseback rides by Blackcomb Trail Rides, and the Kiss-the-Sky Bungy.
Other attractions include $2 hotdogs at Garbanzo Bike and Bean and the Wizard Grill, $14.99 ski rentals at Blackcomb Daylodge, $9.99 valley bike rentals at Garbanzo Bike and Bean, 20 per cent off food at the Roundhouse Lodge and Horstman Hut, 20 per cent of all merchandise at Garbanzo Bike and Bean, The North Face Store, Can Ski, Westbeach Whistler, Showcase Snowboards, The Whistler Salomon Store, and the Glacier Shop.

Photo I.D. can be combined with a letter or invoice with your valid address. If you can prove that you’re local you will be given a one-day passport that gets you up the lifts as well as discounts.
