That’s the question the provincial government is asking in communities across B.C. as it prepares to welcome the world to the B.C.-Canada Pavilion in Beijing during the 2008 Summer Games.
Like the wildly successful B.C.-Canada Place at the Torino Games, the Pavilion is designed to showcase the province’s industry, culture and innovation for five months around the Games.
The location of the pavilion, at the southeast corner of Tiananmen Square, will provide an unmatched profile for B.C. companies who take part.
The B.C. Ministry of Economic Development is holding Think Asia workshops around the province to get businesses thinking of potential opportunities with China.
The Think Asia workshop provides a broad introduction to the China marketplace, focusing on the issues that companies need to address to be competitive. It offers a toolbox of resources that will help companies evaluate this market.
The Think Asia Workshop: China 2008 will be held at the Chamber of Commerce boardroom on Friday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon. Hosted by the Whistler Forum, the workshop costs $20 per person. Call 604-938-9132 for information.
