Bear Aware draws winners

The Whistler Bear Aware Program congratulates this week’s prize draw winners of the Residential Challenge: The Stebon Family of Group 8 and the Herren Family of Group 1 were drawn out of numerous entries.

The Whistler Bear Aware Program congratulates this week’s prize draw winners of the Residential Challenge: The Stebon Family of Group 8 and the Herren Family of Group 1 were drawn out of numerous entries.

This week’s gift certificates are donated by Black’s Pub.

The Whistler neighbourhoods currently leading the residential challenge are Group 2, with Group 3 in second place.  

As a reminder, the challenge has divided Whistler into 9 groups, which is now how the winning neighbourhoods will be announced. You can tell which group you are in by the first number of your street address.

Commencing next week prize draws will include complimentary tickets to events coming up during the Whistler Bear Aware Week Nov. 12-16.The program features a free Black Bear Info Night at the Marriott on Nov 13, the Bear Aware Party at Black’s Pub on Nov 15, and much more!

The top event of this exiting week is world known grizzly bear researcher and speaker Charlie Russell, presenting his film for the first time at Millennium Place Theatre on Nov 14. Tickets for the Charlie Russell event and Bear Aware Party go on sale Monday, Oct. 1 through Millennium Place and Ticket Master. Ticket are: Charlie Russell: $23, Bear Aware Party: $21, Combo Tickets: $39.
