The Whistler Bear Aware Program congratulates this week’s prize draw winners of the Residential Challenge: The Hristeva Family of Group 2 and the Stopforth Family of Group 2 were drawn out of numerous entries. This week’s prizes are a pair of tickets to the upcoming Charlie Russell documentary showing for the first time at MY Millennium Place on Nov. 14 th during Whistler Bear Week. For the second consecutive week in a row the leading Whistler neighbourhoods of the residential challenge are Group 2 and Group 3. To find out which of the nine groups you live in, look at the first number of your street address.

The Residential Challenge Checklists can be picked up at the ballot boxes located at Nesters, IGA, Creekside Marketplace, or the Village Grocery Store. You can also have a checklist e-mailed to you by sending a request to Elena Mensch at emensch@bcccorps.com or call 604-905-BEAR (2327) and press Option 3.

Since Whistler Bear Aware is entering an even busier time, volunteers are much needed as well as donations to assist with the continuation of the program until the bears den. Donations can be sent to Whistler Bear Aware at P.O. Box 475, Whistler, BC, V0N1B0. Any donations above $20 are tax deductible and a receipt will be sent out.
