With a wide range of product being offered, that means there could be something available for almost every price point.

A 500 square foot studio apartment, for example, will cost in the $115,000 range.

A large four-bedroom townhouse at 2,000 square feet, which will be the largest unit available to employee housing waitlisters, would be in the range of $460,000.

There may be added premiums on units depending on their location, so that a top corner unit in an apartment building may cost a little more than a unit on the first floor.

Residents will be asked to come up with their down payment, usually in the range of about five per cent of the asking price, this summer.

The targeted move-in date is the latter half of 2010.

The WDC is planning to host another open house in the later spring, this time on site, to give potential buyers the chance to see as much of the housing as possible and the location of their new homes.
