A broken ankle forced Lianne Gulka, a long-time Whistler resident, to “explore her creative side.” Now, she is a piano teacher, landscape photographer and acrylic artist who has studied under artists like Lori Goldberg, Robert Genn and Alan Wylie. Her paintings, like the above “Whistler Wonder,” often feature familiar local scenes in rich, vibrant hues. Her work is currently on display at MY Millennium Place as part of the Whistler Art Council’s annual ArtWalk.
