‘Shattering’ cycles of addiction

Headlines Theatre is bringing their acclaimed play, “Shattering” to Whistler next week.

Headlines Theatre is bringing their acclaimed play, “Shattering” to Whistler next week. The play begins with the premise that all addicts come from somewhere, and engages the audience in the play by allowing them to come on-stage and initiate dialogue.

The performance was formerly known as “Meth” in 2006, at which time it toured 28 communities throughout the province, generating a tremendous amount of feedback — both positive and negative.

Headlines Theatre is now preparing to bring the production back on the road, with a stop at Whistler Secondary School on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. Admission is by donation. The Whistler stop is sponsored by Whistler-Blackcomb, the RCMP, Vancouver Coastal Health and the Resort Municipality of Whistler. For more information, visit www.mywcss.org .
