The race day is Saturday, Sept. 19, and early registration is available for $65 until July 31, or $50 for the "Cheakamus Lite" 42 km short course. The entry fee includes the race and food and refreshments at the finish line.

To up the stakes for riders, organizers are pledging more than $15,000 in cash and prizes at the finish line.
