The final King of the Rail rail jam took place last Saturday, with another huge turnout of skiers and riders.
The setup was a little different once again, with one ramp and a choice of three jibs - an up-flat-down rail to another flat rail, a flat box made for switch-ups and nose presses, and a steep downrail that was all about commitment.
Participants were eligible to win cash prizes based on the turnout in their age categories, and as always the winners were chosen by the skiers and riders themselves.
In Ski Male 16 and Over, the most votes and $100 went to Yu Sasaki.
Berto Rodrigues was the top Snowboard Male 16 and Over, also winning $100.
Alexander Geddes won $20 as the top Ski Male Youth, and Stevie Kopyt won $30 as the top Snowboard Male Youth.
Maude Raymond won $15 in Ski Female 16 and Over, and Nicole Reischman won $20 as the top Snowboard Female 16 and Over.
Yu Sasaki got the most votes of anyone, and was crowned the final King of the Rail for the season.
Some serious draw prizes were also distributed. Chase Harley won the Sapient snowboard, Emma Blanchet won the Atomic skis, and Braedon Wheeler won the Nintendoi Wii.
The King of the Rail events were sponsored by Showcase, Glacier Shop, Telus, Sapient, DNA, Nintendo and Atomic, taking place under the lights at the base of Blackcomb.
