What: CORNUCOPIA HOUSE PARTY Cornucopia is being kicked off in true BC style at the ultimate House Party. Wine and dine on the best that B.C. has in gourmet BBQ, microbrewery beer, locally-produced wine and homegrown vodka. Tickets are $35 each, must be 19 or older to attend.

When: Thursday November 12, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Where: Grand Foyer at the Telus Whistler Conference Centre

 

What: ZERO CEILING/LUNA ULTIMATE YARD SALE Come support fundraising efforts as part of two community projects. Enter the Ultimate Yard Sale to find pro personal gear from brands like Nitro, Etnies and K2, as well as snowboards, samples and clothing from Dinosaurs Will Die, Westbeach and Voleurz. Entry $7.

What: CRUSH Cornucopia's flagship wine tasting event is coming, the CRUSH Gala Grand Tasting. So popular it has to be held on two separate nights. Tickets are $85 so come dressed your best and try some wines with an exclusive edge. Take your pick of two great nights. Ticket price excludes dinner.

When: Friday November 13, 8:30 p.m. - 11:15 p.m.; Saturday November 14, 8:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

What: ROTARY PANCAKE BREAKFAST Whistler's Millennium Rotary is hosting a pancake breakfast as part of Whistler Welcome Week. Come enjoy pancakes and juice at the firehall, compliments of Millennium Rotary. Cost is $3 and proceeds of the breakfast go to funding Welcome Week.

When: Monday November 16, 10 a.m.

What: SCAVENGER HUNT AND HOUSE BBQ Part of Whistler Welcome Week, hosted by the Whistler Community Services Society, is a scavenger hunt. Teams of four members get clues and a map and are sent on a real scavenger hunt in the community. No better way to learn where things are! BBQ cost is $5. Big team prize to winners.

When: Tuesday November 17, 3:30 p.m.

Where: Starts at Glacier Staff Housing, Blackcomb Base 2

 

What: THE JILL ACKHURST COMMUNITY WELCOME DINNER Celebrity Whistler Chefs cook a menu featuring food grown within 100 kilometres of Whistler - ie. in Pemberton. Tables host up to 10 people and it costs $3 to host a table. Dinner begins with a presentation of First Nation dance. Event always sells out.

What: ON THE ROAD Authors Wayne Grady and Merilyn Simonds read from their travel books and talk about the art of travel writing. Grady is a longtime science journalist and Simonds the author of books such as "The Convict Lover" and "The Lion in the Room Next Door."

When: Wednesday November 18, 7 p.m.

Where: Community Room, Whistler Public Library

 

What: MOIST, THE POOL PARTY LUNA presents a pool party and it ain't your average one. DJ's JimiRay and Canosis will be spinning tracks, and there will also be snacks, fire, massage, yoga, floaty pool toys, hot tub, sunny, fluffy bathrobes and much more. Cost is $5 at the door. This year is Bollywood-themed, open to all over 18.

When: Friday November 20, 9 p.m. - midnight
