Pemberton Mayor Jordan Sturdy took issue with the way his actions were characterized in the Dec. 3 story "Pemberton disillusioned with Olympics." Sturdy claims he walked out of a Whistler council meeting where a temporary use permit was approved that allowed security personnel to be housed at the Rainbow neighbourhood. He claims he "wouldn't call it storming," as stated in the story. Sturdy also took some issue with the statement that he left the Whistler council meeting angry despite knowing for a month that Contemporary Security Canada wouldn't locate in Pemberton. He said there was still a chance that CSC could locate in the Pemberton's industrial park if Whistler turned it down.
