The Whistler Community Services Society (WCSS) may be losing its office, but it will still offer services during the Olympic Games.

Starting Jan. 28, WCSS will offer its services remotely throughout the community. Youth Outreach workers can be reached by phone or e-mail if you contact Davin at 604-932-3902 or Tara at 604-902-0670.

Youth Outreach will serve as the contact for Emergency Financial Assistance, Counselling Assistance, KidSport, Peer Educators and the School Based Drug and Alcohol program, which will continue to run through the Olympics.

The food bank has also doubled its number of open days and will be open every Monday in February from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For emergencies you can call Sara at 604-935-7717 and should the need arise the WCSS has plans ready to set up an emergency soup kitchen.

The Re-Use-It Centre is the only program that won't be running as usual during the Olympic period. It will be open for its regular hours between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. until Feb. 12 and then will only be open on Fridays and Saturdays. It will resume regular hours on March 1. People are asked not to drop off donations when the store isn't open.

Anyone seeking information on the Greenhouse Education Program, Community Greenhouses or Community Kitchens is asked to e-mail Kari@mywcss.org. The Community Kitchens program will not run during the Olympics and WCSS is re-vamping the program for the 2010-2011 year.
