The case of a Squamish teen who went missing after visiting friends on Bowen Island is now considered a homicide by RCMP investigators.

Squamish RCMP told media that their investigation has ruled out the possibility that Jodi Henrickson, 17, may have run away. They now believe that she was likely the victim of a homicide.

Henrickson disappeared on June 20, 2009, although she wasn't reported missing by her family until she didn't return home on June 24. She was last seen by her ex-boyfriend on Miller Road at 5:30 a.m. after leaving a friend's party. The ex-boyfriend has denied any wrong doing.
