Despite the record snowfall and the distraction of the Olympics and Paralympics, the Whistler Blackcomb events department managed to get off all six Kokanee Valley Race Series events as planned and on schedule.

The final event, a dual giant slalom and team relay, took place on March 18 on Ross's Gold/Gandy Dancer with a strong turnout - many of the participants getting in a few warmup gates before this weekend's Appleton Rum Peak to Valley race.

The overall series winners were also decided in the final event, based on points earned over all six events.
