Park Rider Sessions conclude with a slopestyle

The fifth and final event of the Park Rider Sessions presented by Telus took place last Sunday, with skiers and snowboarders taking on a slopestyle course on Whistler Mountain.

The fifth and final event of the Park Rider Sessions presented by Telus took place last Sunday, with skiers and snowboarders taking on a slopestyle course on Whistler Mountain. There was a solid turnout of skiers and riders enjoying the warmer weather.

The top score of the day went to Under 13 skier Taylor Wilson, who recently competed in the provincial freestyle championships. He placed first out of 13 athletes with a 34.9, followed closely by brother Mitchell Wilson with a score of 33.6. Adison MacDonald was third in the category with a 32.1, with Callum MacConnachie and Braden Metza rounding out the top five.

In Snowboard Male 13 and Under the winner was Kai Ujejski with a 28.3, followed by Garrett Lattin and Sam Walser.

In Ski Male 14 to 16 the top spot went to Jaeden Schneider-Clark with a 33.5, followed by Noah Morrison with a 33.1 and Logan Pehota with a 29.6. Brenden Kelly and Dylan Bucher rounded out the top five out of 14 athletes.

In Snowboard Male 14 to 16, first place went to Wade McCracken with a 30.7, followed by Luke Lattin with a 29.8 and Zack Dolesky with a 27.9.

In Ski Men 17 and Over, Keaton Carlson placed first with a 30.8, followed by Austin Hunter's 29.3 and Max Novothy's 28.0.

Vincent Genannt won the Snowboard Men 17 and Over competition with a 30.4, followed by Pablo Aristeguita's 29.9 and Jedidiah Tan's 27.2.

Claire Hughes competed alone in Ski Female 17 and Over, and posted a high score of 33.0.

Carrie Hall edged Meghan Hebert in Snowboard Female 17 and Over by a score of 23.1 to 22.4.
