The B.C. Water and Wastewater Association is hosting its annual conference and trade show in Whistler from May 1 to 5, bringing over 1,200 water professionals from around the province to the resort. The event was held to coincide with international Drinking Water Week, which calls attention to water issues around the world.

There will be a number of workshops for participants, as well as tours of Whistler's upgraded and environmentally friendly wastewater plant - which also provides heat to the athletes' village - and their new water plant opposite Rainbow Park.

More information on the conference is posted online at www.bcwwa.org.
