BC Transit is conducting a review of public transit service in the Pemberton area and will be seeking public input at two open houses scheduled for this weekend. Residents of the valley and surrounding areas are asked to attend one of two open houses to be held Saturday, May 15.

The first will take place at the Pemberton Cottonwood Community Centre as part of an Outdoor and Home Show. It will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The next will take place in Mount Currie at the Ullus Community Centre, right in the centre of town. It will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The review aims to confirm whether transit service in Pemberton is effectively used to determine the current transit needs and lay a foundation for future improvements, according to a news release.

There is also a customer survey available online at www.bctransit.com/pemberton until May 16. The results of public input will be gathered in a report for government partners in July 2010.
