At the Whistler Arts Council's Annual General Meeting held on June 2 the members approved the integration of MY Millennium Place Society and building operations into the organization's bylaws and constitution, effectively creating a single enhanced society.
They also added three new members to their board: Sue Adams from the MY Millennium Place Society; Fiona Famulak, president of the Whistler Chamber of Commerce; and Keith Bennett, CEO of Whistler 2010 Sport Legacies. They will join current arts council board members Linda Godin, Stephanie Matches, Leanna Rathkelly, Janet Brown, Joan Pitman, Tom Thompson and Roger Weetman, while outgoing members Sharon Broatch, Debbie Smythe, Jodi Westbury and Laurie Vance were thanked for their contribution to the organization over their terms.
