WHAT: AWARE KIDS NATURE CLUB: NAB THE BULLY - INVASIVE PLANTS Children ages 6-12 are invited to participate in FREE fun games and activities relating to invasive plants.   Become a plant detective and solve a Bully Plant crime.  Learn why some plants are bad for certain areas? How can non-native plants take over native species habitat?

WHAT: BEAR DAY Whistler Bear Aware presents a family friendly event to help familiarize people with the significance of bears in local First Nations culture.

WHAT:SQUAMISH PADDLING CLUB FALL CLASSIC 'TOONIE' RACE This will be our fourth and final race of the season and are hoping to develop them into bi-weekly races for 2011 thus would appreciate your assistance in spreading the word. Contact Ian at 604 698 0270 for further details.

children for a day to attend class at their level from Grade two to

WHAT: VOLUNTEER CHOP WOOD DAY Help prepare firewood for Food Bank Fundraiser. : Volunteers needed to make logs into firewood for later sale as

a Food Bank fundraiser. People can help run spliters or use axes and help

move firewood into piles.  Call Sara at 604-935-7717 to RSVP.  Sale of wood

on October 2nd from 10-1pm, same location.
