A $500 reward is being offered for the return of stolen property from Jumpin’ Jim’s Fishing School and Guide Service. Several thousand dollars worth of inventory was taken out of a locked log cabin at the Edgewater Lodge on May 4. "This has put Jumpin’ Jim’s business into a bit of a tailspin," said Whistler RCMP Cst. Ed Gariepy. "No questions will be asked, we just want the equipment back." Stolen were numerous fly rods, reels, assorted fishing tackle, tubing and fly fishing vests. Most of the equipment was stored in cases. "The stuff really amounts up quickly," said Gariepy. "We’re looking for any information pertaining to those items or persons responsible." At this time the investigation is on-going. Anyone with information can call the Whistler RCMP at 932-3044, or Crime Stoppers at 932-TIPS.
