Intrawest was recently presented with a Gold Nugget award. Awarded for the "exceptional design" of the second phase of The Ridge at Taluswood in Whistler, this award is the third Gold Nugget for Intrawest. Awarded by the Pacific Coast Builders, Gold Nuggets recognize creative achievements in architectural design and land-use planning for residential, commercial and industrial projects. Entries are received from countries bordering the Pacific Ocean, including Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand, the Western United States and Canada. Award winners are recognized as the Best in the West. "We are very honoured and very proud to receive this award," said Doug Ogilvy, vice president of development for Whistler-Blackcomb. "In partnership with Ray Letkeman, architect, we focused on creating a well-designed, premium product at The Ridge at Taluswood, and the market responded to our approach." The Ridge at Taluswood, a sold-out-26-unit development, was Intrawest’s first entry into the Taluswood community. Phase one of The Bluffs at Taluswood, another Intrawest development, is currently under construction. Phase two of The Bluffs will be launched in September.
