The Sam Roberts Band will headline the grand official opening of Whistler Olympic Plaza.
On Aug. 26, the RMOW is hosting the Whistler Olympic Plaza Official Opening, and the Sam Roberts Band will perform on the completed pavilion. The temporary stage that has been in use for the past month will be taken down and the pavilion will be fully functional, complete with the roof, video screens and permanent stage.
Supporting the Sam Roberts Band will be Canadian alt-country singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards. Jian Ghomeshi, host of CBC's Q, will MC the festivities. The evening will also include special guests sharing their Whistler stories.
The event pre-show will begin at 7 p.m., with the official celebration starting at 8 p.m.
