Kids as young as eight got a chance to test their abilities in three athletic disciplines at the annual Kids of Steel Triathlon at Meadow Park.

The Whistler Triathlon Club hosted the event, which challenges competitors to swim, cycle and run. The swim portion of the event was held in the pool at Meadow Park while the cycling and running was held on the neighbouring streets and portions of the Valley Trail.

In addition to holding a race for kids, the Triathlon Club also organized a Try-a-Tri race for adults who want to experience a short distance triathlon without committing to the training regiment required to complete a full-distance triathlon.
