Simmons Tweed throws b-day bash

So Gene Simmons's daughter Sophie Simmons Tweed turns 20 this weekend and is partying where every celebrity's offspring should — Maxx Fish.

However, this is not your average puke-on-your-shoes celebrity binge-fest. The bash will benefit Sophie's Place, the centre for child development in Surrey that provides multi-disciplinary services for children who are victims of abuse.

Tickets are $20. The ticket price will include entry to the party, of course, as well as a chance to glimpse the real life, honest-to-golly CELEBRITIES!!!! who will be in attendance. These include, in very specific order of importance:

-Gene Simmons: debated rock god of KISS; model plastic surgery patient

-Shannon Tweed-Simmons: Canadian; former sex goddess; mother of birthday girl

-Mike Reno: Canada's favourite lover boy; frontman for Loverboy

-Squire Barnes: from BCTV

-Some other people

With that said, it will be a good night for a very good cause. Go support victims of child abuse and a have a little fun. Okay?

Good.

For the record

Last week we reported that tonight's (July 5) ArtWalk opening reception would be held at Millennium Place. It will in fact be held at various venues throughout Whistler Village and will feature roving entertainment throughout the stroll.
